If you like to look longingly at boats while dreaming of warm weather, this will be your chance. But the Kansas City Boat & Sportshow has plenty of other activities to occupy your time. In addition to marine-related seminars and demonstrations, the show will include an archery tournament, Timber Tina’s World Champion Lumberjills, a trout pond, food trucks and a kids corner. Tammy Pescatelli brings a unique perspective to the stand-up stage. She is known for finding the humor in her Italian upbringing in a large Ohio family and making witty observations about the world around her. Her 2013 special “Finding the Funny” was a popular download on Netflix, and she won Comedy Central’s “Stand-up Showdown” in 2010. The Boston Camerata, “The Play of Daniel”

The Boston Camerata, founded in Boston in 1954, sings and plays early music. For its local performance, artistic director Anne Azéma will breathe new life into a 13th century liturgical drama depicting the biblical stories of Belshazzar’s feast and Daniel in the lions’ den. “Seinfeld,” the long-running comedy series that TV Guide named the greatest television show of all time in 2009, catapulted Jerry Seinfeld into the top level of the world’s comedians. Although his network TV show lives on only in reruns, he now does “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” (available on Netflix) and tours the nation with his stand-up act. 816-283-9921. Kansas City Symphony, “The Best of Rodgers & Hammerstein: Some Enchanted Evening”

Broadway will come to Kansas City when New York Pops music director Steven Reineke helps bring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein to life. The Kansas City Symphony and Chorus, along with soprano Ashley Brown and baritone Ryan Silverman, will perform favorites from “Oklahoma!” “Carousel,” “South Pacific” and other musicals. “That Old Black Magic”

So, what do “Over the Rainbow,” “Stormy Weather” and “That Old Black Magic” have in common? All were written by Harold Arlen, who despite those three songs and hundreds of others isn’t exactly a household name. Quality Hill, with vocalists Lauren Braton, Christina Burton, LeShea Wright and Matt Baldwin, will celebrate Arlen’s music from his early days at the Cotton Club to his compositions for Hollywood. Eagle Days

Eagles will be just one of the big birds in starring roles at this event, which will take place at two Wyandotte County Lake locations, Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library and James P. Davis Hall. Operation Wildlife volunteers will exhibit live birds of prey, including eagles, falcons, hawks, owls and a vulture, and will talk about the birds. Anyone who watches much TV no doubt has seen comedian Jim Norton, with his buzz-cut hair and bug-out eyes, say something that offended somebody. On his Kneeling Room Only Tour, you can expect Norton’s targets to include Harvey Weinstein, President Donald Trump and, of course, himself. Norton, who gained prominence as a co-host of the radio show “Opie and Anthony” (2001-14), has been doing the morning radio show “Jim Norton and Sam Roberts” on SiriusXM since 2016 and “The Chip Chipperson Podacast” since 2017. 785-749-1972. Maxim Vengerov

Siberian-born violinist Maxim Vengerov will play in Kansas City as part of the Harriman-Jewell Series more than two decades after making his American recital debut in the series in 1993. Vengerov, who also performed in the series in 1996, became the first classical musician named as the envoy for music for UNICEF in 1997. Born David Adkins in Benton Harbor, Mich., Sinbad has performed on the national stage since advancing to the finals of Ed McMahon’s “Star Search” in 1983. He was a regular on “A Different World” before getting his own sitcom, “The Sinbad Show,” in 1993 and has starred in movies such as “House Guest” (1994) and “Jingle All the Way” (1996). “Project Dawn”
