Kathy Griffin could use some good publicity after that fiasco in May with the fake bloody Donald Trump head.

She’s getting some now.

On Monday journalist Yashir Ali tweeted two photos of Griffin, now bald because she’s shaved her head.

“In solidarity with her sister, who is going through chemo, @kathygriffin shaved her head. Donate to @AmericanCancer,” Ali wrote.

A few minutes after Ali’s tweet popped up, Griffin’s mother, Maggie, retweeted it and added, “My daughter Kathleen Mary is a wonderful human being.”

Entertainment news outlets report Griffin’s sister, Joyce, has cancer, though the type of cancer has not been disclosed. People recalled that in 2014 Griffin’s older brother, Gary, died at age 63 from esophageal cancer.

The photos of a bald Griffin showed up three days after she tweeted that she has been exonerated for the Trump stunt, for which she publicly apologized. She was reportedly interviewed for more than an hour by the Secret Service.

“The case is closed,” Griffin tweeted Friday.

Earning good graces from the public is a different story. Some people aren’t ready to move on, accusing Griffin of pulling yet another stunt by shaving her head.

But others? They see sisterly love in action.
