Chip (no more man bun) and Joanna Gaines of ‘Fixer Upper’ reveal their next venture
Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of HGTV’s popular “Fixer Upper,” have been teasing fans this week about an “exciting new project” they’ve been working on.
They revealed it on Wednesday: The couple have opened a second rental home in their hometown of Waco, Texas.
The remodeled 1903 Greek Revival house called Hillcrest Estate – with seven bedrooms and 3.5 baths that sleeps 12 – will start taking reservations at 9 a.m. Aug. 8 for the September-December season. Reservations are taken for the entire home only.
“Chip and I had so much fun restoring this old Waco icon and cannot wait to welcome guests starting this fall” Joanna wrote on Instagram.
Photos of the interior are posted to the MagnoliaMarket website.
According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, the couple bought the home in April 2016. The 4,600-square-foot house had been on the market for a year before the couple decided to put in an offer.
Their first rental home, The Magnolia House, has been a huge success, with bookings disappearing in a blink when they are available, according to People. Magnolia House, which sleeps five, rents for $695 a night. No word on how much the new house will rent for.
“Fixer Upper” fans might have thought the “secret” had something to do with that man bun Chip sported earlier this month while the two were on a working vacation.
It drew very mixed reviews from the show’s fans.
It hasn’t been seen since.
Bless his heart.
