Kansas City loves St. Patrick’s Day!

So much so that college data site Niche.com recently listed KC as the 7th best city in the nation to celebrate the Irish holiday. The list was based on data for cities with more than 100,000 residents and “a St. Patrick’s Day Parade that was at least 25 years old, and a positive ‘Facebook Hype.’”

The Facebook hype factor was why metropolises like New York City and San Francisco did not make the list. St. Louis was No. 9 on the list while the top spot went to Pittsburgh, followed by Boston.

The annual parade starts at 11 and our grand marshal this year is Gillian Flynn, who will be involved in more films after the success of “Gone Girl.”
