The Windy City has added another hotel to its already epic skyline. On May 18, the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, which is one of Marriott Bonvoy’s 30 brands, announced the debut of The St. Regis Chicago. The hotel is housed in a 101-story tower that was designed by Studio Gang, a world-renowned architecture and urban design practice led by Jeanne Gang, making it the tallest building in the world designed by a female architect. The new hotel is dedicated to offering both Chicago locals and visitors sophisticated dining and the highest quality service.

Located in the Lakeshore East neighborhood, guests at The St. Regis Chicago have easy access to the Chicago River, luxury retailers, delectable restaurants, and notable Chicago destinations such as Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the famed Magnificent Mile.

“The debut of The St. Regis Chicago signals a significant milestone for the St. Regis brand as we grow our footprint in the United States and celebrate our first property in the American Midwest,” said George Fleck, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in a press release. “We are proud to open our doors in Chicago, an energetic and dynamic city that, like the St. Regis brand, is known for its rich history and pioneering design. Through The St. Regis Chicago we will debut a new icon within the city, sharing with our guests and local luminaries an architectural masterpiece that also represents the pinnacle of luxury hospitality today.”

The St. Regis Chicago features 159 luxurious rooms and 33 elegant suites, spanning 11 floors. The interior of each room utilizes natural materials, including wood and stone, to pay homage to nature, while also juxtaposing this with the hotel’s location in a bustling city. The hotel’s design also draws inspiration from Chicago’s rich architectural history through the use of metallic materials and colors – such as copper and rust – and geometric, angular lines, both of which are a nod to The Great Chicago Fire and the city’s interconnected waterways, buildings, and green spaces.

Two dining concepts, Miru and Tre Dita, are available for hotel guests and the public to indulge in. Miru is an all-day dining experience located on the hotel’s 11th floor. The menu, curated by chef Hisanobu Osaka, celebrates Japanese cuisine and offers sushi, sashimi, steak and seafood. Wine and spirit connoisseurs can enjoy options from a wine list expertly paired with the menu, and those with a sweet tooth can enjoy rich desserts and pastries created by pastry chef and winner of Netflix’s School of Chocolate, Juan Gutierrez. Tre Dita, which opens in fall 2023, is led by award-winning chef Evan Funke and features fresh, handmade pasta and Italian steaks.

To further underscore St. Regis’ dedication to guests’ relaxation and wellness, The St. Regis Chicago features The St. Regis Spa. The 12,000 square-foot space is located on the Wellness Floor and guests can receive an array of treatments and services, including body scrubs, body wraps, couples massages, facials, and more.
