Nowadays, rabona’s seem to be more common in football than soccer, but this cheeky attempt from LA Galaxy midfielder Ignacio “Nacho” Maganto in practice is top-notch.
For those unfamiliar with the form of trickery, the rabona is an excellent misdirection tool to fool defenders, where the player wraps his or her kicking leg around the plant leg. It looks silly, sure, but is incredibly fun to watch when completed successfully.
Maganto was a rookie for the Galaxy this past season. He tallied one goal and two assists in 13 games played.
