Security at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif., came under question Friday night following Sporting Kansas City’s 1-0 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes, when a fan stumbled into the visitor’s locker room shortly after the match.

A second Sporting KC representative confirmed the disturbance, first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle, which delayed coach Peter Vermes’ postgame teleconference.

Sporting KC returns to action on Wednesday against the Colorado Rapids in a match rescheduled from May 16, before concluding the regular season on Sunday against the LA Galaxy.
