With one game to spare in the regular season, the Missouri Comets took down the Wichita Wings 15-11 on Sunday to clinch an MISL playoff spot. It's the third year in a row in the playoffs for the Comets.

It's also the second year that Missouri will take home the I-35 Rivalry Series with Wichita.

Missouri will play at home in the MISL Playoffs Semi-Final Series on March 7 at 7:35 p.m. at the Independence Events Center. Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. Call 855-4KC-GOAL for information and tickets.

Sporting KC ends membership reward program

When Sporting Kansas City launched its rebrand in 2010, one of the key components was to build a membership program for its fans -- free tickets to road matches, free Members Stand tickets, exclusive club offers and a coin system where fans could earn "coins" to spend. (The coin idea -- along with points earned via the Sporting Explorer app -- never fully panned out.)

In an email to its members on Sunday, the club announced it was ending the current version of the Sporting Club Membership rewards program. In the message, the club said the reason the program is ending is that "we do not believe the program in its existing form is reflective of our long-term vision."

This is effective immediately. All Season Ticket Members will receive a new membership card by mail and all existing cards are no longer valid.

Those who participated, the email stated, will hear from the club "regarding a prize the organization is offering, which is based on the level you have reached to date."
