Leftovers: Collin's injury, card controversy and stats

Newspapers have deadlines and space restrictions. So, sometimes things get lost in the shuffle or slip between the cracks. Here are some Monday Morning Leftovers from Sporting Kansas City's 3-0 win over New England that might have gone unnoticed.

• Aurelien Collin left in the 59th minute with an apparent upper-leg injury. He was subbed off and Lawrence Olum came on in his place. After the game, manager Peter Vermes called it a "contraction" in his muscle but said he'd have to undergo further evaluation this week.

"I think they'll have to do a bit more assessing, but Mr. Collin's Corner, I'm sure will have something to say about it," Vermes joked.

• Bobby Convey -- a late addition to the injury report this week -- underwent what seemed to be a last-minute fitness test about an hour before kickoff. Obviously, he played through his abdominal strain, showing no ill effects.

• The Collin sub was not one that Vermes wanted to make. Instead, he wanted to get Chance Myers -- sitting on a yellow card -- off for (presumably) Michael Harrington. Vermes brought off Graham Zusi for the same reason in the 57th minute.

• Myers earned his yellow for a reckless foul before halftime. Zusi earned his yellow for, well, excessive celebration after his goal in the 14th minute. For this:
