The Comets announced that Brazilian midfielder Tiguinho will return to the team after spending the summer in his home country.
“I’m glad to be back playing with the Comets this season,” Tiguinho said. “I felt we had something special last season and I only hope that I can help us get to the next level this season.”

Although he battled injuries last season, Tiguinho notched a modest 12 points, but it was his control and direction in the midfield that has coach Kim Roentved excited.
“The key to winning in this league is ball control. Tiguinho will be able to step right in and help us to control the flow of the game so that our forwards can score more effectively,” Roentved said.
In other team news, goalkeeper Boris Pardo was placed on injured reserve with a right leg injury.
