MatchDay #37: It's all happening

I don't know if you guys are aware, but apparently there's some sort of athletic competition this afternoon. I've heard it might be massively massive in size and scope.

It's the last game of the season at Livestrong Sporting Park and the place should be rocking this afternoon -- possibly with greater intensity than the earthquake some felt in KC last night -- as Sporting Kansas City hosts the Houston Dynamo in the Eastern Conference Finals. Winner gets its ticket for the MLS Cup punched.

Terror. Joy. Trepidation. Anticipation. Excitement. Tension. Thirsty. Hungry. I expect everyone reading this post has run the gamut of these emotions/feelings already today. It will only get worse before it gets any better. (Try eating something or downing a carafe full of coffee. Pace yourself when it comes to alcohol.)

The match is at 4:30 p.m. I've heard tickets are scarce to non-existent. If you're not there, Fox Soccer (last MLS broadcast ever?) has the call. Callum Williams and Jake Yadrich will be on 810 WHB as well.

Here's everything you need to know about the match. But first, in case you aren't motivated enough already.

THREE QUESTIONS

1. Can Peter Vermes, Sporting Kansas City and fans handle big-game nerves?
