MatchDay #24: Rested, relaxed and ready?

Sporting Kansas City haven't seen the field since Aug. 6 thanks to a Farm Aid-induced bye-week. Portland have the opposite problem, as the Timbers take the field tonight just a little under 72 hours since walking off 2-1 losers in Houston.

Will KC be rested or rusty? The time off has likely helped the likes of Jeferson and Chance Myers shake off small injury concerns, though not long enough for the likes of Davy Arnaud and Craig Rocastle to recover completely.

The rest is important also because the schedule doesn't get easier from here on out as Sporting preps for a playoff push. After the Timbers, it's all playoff-caliber teams -- D.C. United, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston and Real Salt Lake are the next five opponents.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Livestrong Sporting Park. It's Omar Bravo Bobblehead night. Of course it is. If you can't be there, no bobblehead for you. Though KSMO will have the broadcast.

Here's what you need to know about the matchup.
