Sporting news: Bobbleheads, Chivas and loans

A few items of interest on Wednesday.

• Earlier this week, I posted in this space about a Kansas City and Chivas Guadalajara friendly coming to Livestrong Sporting Park this fall. Well, according to

Robb Heineman,

that game will go down in October.

Coincidentally, there's a hole in KC's MLS schedule on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Of course, that's also two weeks before the season ends... the timing might be a little, um, distracting don't you think?

• This Saturday, Sporting will give away

Teal Bunbury bobblehead dolls

. The first 10,000 fans to Livestrong Sporting Park will get one. Have to think the decision on that one was made immediately following the Vancouver game. "He's got three goals in 120 minutes! Someone, quick, get the bobblehead mold!"

• The Scott-Lorenz-to-Minnesota-on-loan deal is now official. He will join the NASL's NSC Minnesota Stars for the remainder of the 2011 season.

• On Wednesday night, I was fortunate enough to join Jake Gutierrez and Josh Whisenhunt on the KC Soccer show on 810 Sports. You can

listen to it here

. Love being on with those guys, very knowledgeable.
