The Missouri Comets announced the team's first two signings of the 2011 offseason today -- defenders Ibrahim Kante and Brian Harris. Details of the player's contracts were not released.
Kante (pronounced Ee-Brah-Heem Kahn-Tay), from Mali, was drafted by the New England Revolution int he 2003 MLS SuperDraft and spent last season battling injuries with the Omaha Vipers.

In a team press release, head coach Kim Roentved said of Kante: "Ibrahim's size and skills are exactly what we need to solidify the defense this season. In addition to his on-field presence; he brings a leadership quality that fits perfectly into our team chemistry."
Harris was a fan favorite in 2010 and earned a selection to the Major Indoor Soccer League All-Rookie team.
The Comets season will begin in the Fall.
