Chance Myers continued his torrid pace with the Sporting Kansas City reserves, scoring the team's lone goal in a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire reserves on Tuesday. Kansas City is 1-1-1 (4 points) in the MLS Reserve's Central division.
Chicago got on the board first with a strike from forward Cristian Nazarit that beat KC's Jimmy Nielsen. Just minutes before halftime, KC's Luke Sassano hit a shot from the top of the penalty area with beat the Fire's Alec Duffy, but came off the cross bar to the feet of Myers. It was the third goal for the former first overall draft pick, which ties him with D.C. United's Blake Brettschneider and Chivas USA's Chris Cortez for the reserve league lead.
The next game for Sporting's reserves is on May 29th against the Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The next home game for the KC reserves is July 19th against the Chicago Fire at Livestrong Sporting Park.Sporting Kansas City lineup:
