Only half-way through an epic 10-game road trip, sitting at the bottom of the table and facing the talent-rich New York Red Bulls... is Sporting Kansas Cityalready
facing a must-win situation?
To answer my own question, no. But they are facing a "must-perform-admirably-without-picking-up-a-red-card-and-hopefully-pick-up-at-least-a-point" game.
If you want to read at least one reassuring sentiment today: Kansas City hasn't been blown out once this year. Heaviest loss is by 1 goal. D.C. United (slightly ahead of KC in the table) have lost three games by three or more goals. Including last night when Houston crumpled DC 4-1.
Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. at Red Bull Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
