First and foremost, my thoughts and prayers go out to

Japan and those in the tsunami zones this morning.

I turned on the news at 7:30 and haven't been able to turn the channel since. Not surprisingly,

the J.League cancelled all games this weekend.

It's difficult to think of anything else -- especially something as frivolous as sport. So, today we'll have a somewhat muted Morning Kickoff.

• I can't find the story link on Sports Illustrated, but local boy and America's favorite soccer writer Grant Wahl, picked Sporting Kansas City to finish second in the Eastern Conference on

the SI Soccer Roundtable podcast.

Oh, and he picked them to face the Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS Cup. See, you love Wahl even more now don't you?
