Sporting KC reveal four trial players before scrimmage

Sporting Kansas City revealed the names of four trialists today ahead of the team's intra-squad scrimmage in Arizona, including the unknown trialist that I blogged about two weeks ago. Huzzah!

The four: 23-year-old defender

Scott Lorenz

, who played last year with NSC Minnesota Stars in USSF Division II; Travis Bowen, brother of Chivas USA's

; Slovenian defender

Mitja Morec

, who last played with Panaitolikos Agrinio in Greece and with Sturm Graz in Austria before that; and winger/forward Gor Kirakosyan, the flashy and small unknown trialist from camp who played collegiately at

Pasadena City College

and, before that,

Burbank High.

*He's a hard chap to find info on. Not sure if he'll make the team, but he's flashy and, along with Kevin Ellis, stood out from the rest of the unknown players at the training camp.

Here were the rosters for today's action. The Orange team sure feels an awful lot like the Best 11 (minus Ryan Smith). The Yellow team looks like the second unit

except for Craig Rocastle, who is probably a starter

; Blue the developmental roster team. UPDATE: Craig Rocastle did not play today, he was replaced by Konrad Warzycha.
