The Full 90

The Morning Kickoff: When can you get a Sporting KC kit? its first order of authentic jerseys by the end of March if you buy directly from the team.

The next question I get asked (and have asked several times myself): Is the holdup on available jerseys because the team is waiting to announce a jersey sponsor? The answer: Still unclear. I’ll keep my eyes peeled. I'm pretty sure that if it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen before the season opener. Or it may happen before the home opener. Or at another point of the season. (Basically, it could happen literally any time. Literally.)

There is one shirt you

the fan-created Teal Boon-boo-ree shirts. The stadium webcam now has a sponsor!

About as good a reason as I can think of to go check it out.

Didn’t know this: Former KC defender Aaron Hohlbein spurned a contract offer from Columbus (who selected him in the re-entry draft) and

has signed with NASL side Miami FC

(where he went on loan from KC in 2010).

Quick poll! What happens first: Sporting KC announce a jersey sponsor, Manchester United lose a game or

the Gold Cup draw is announced?

I say jersey sponsor.

Good ESPN article about

KC's new marquee player, Omar Bravo.
"I take my responsibilities not as pressure, but as motivation," said Bravo with the help of an interpreter via telephone. "For me to succeed in this team, I come here to add myself to the rest of the group. Obviously, I can't forecast what is going to happen, but as long as I keep that project in mind, and the fact that it's not a pressure thing but a motivation thing, then I'm here to just enjoy being the Designated Player."
Could Charlie Davies make DC United an MLS Cup contender?

Let's knock it back down a notch chief. Is Charlie Davies even healthy? If he's not healthy, they've got youth (Bill Hamid, Chris Pontius, Andy Najar) and one play-maker (Dax McCarty). That's it. If he is healthy, they've got youth, one playmaker and a striker who hasn't played in a year and a half and is overcoming several major surgeries.

I stand by my decision to not make any outrageous claims about title contention until the season starts, if that's OK with you guys.

The U.S. men’s team remains #18 on FIFA’s most recent rankings.

Mexico is #27 and Canada is #80.

Manchester United rightback

Gary Neville calls it a career after 20 years.

Effective immediately. Well, it's effective immediately, but it's been coming for the last two years.

Houston seems like it will finally get a stadium of its own. Reports out of France say the New York Red Bulls are chasing Thierry Henry's countryman Nicolas Anelka.

I could see that working out.

One reason why the Anelka-to-New-York seems plausible:

Fernando Torres might make his debut this weekend (against Liverpool!)

and take away Anelka's playing time.

In keeping with Red Bull-related news, their former boss

Juan Carlos Osorio has been hired to helm Honduras.

Will he see fit to call up Kansas City leftback Roger Espinoza, who was left out of the most recent round of call-ups?

[Not Soccer Related] I love when goalies fight...

[Soccer Related] ...but I hate when goalies injure themselves celebrating when they score a game-winning goal.

let's go with the real thing.
