Sporting Kansas City players are starting to trickle in (as some fans witnessed yesterday) as the pre-season officially begins on Monday when players report for camp.
The team has 29 players either under contract or in camp (including 3 foreign trailists and 6 draft picks) and, well, one more coming. Via Sporting KC president Robb Heineman on Twitter:

• If you're planning on being in Omaha this evening, you should stop by the Civic Auditorium for a special indoor game. The Omaha Vipers will play an exhibition against 1994 World Cup vets Marcelo Balboa, Alexi Lalas, Paul Caligiuri, Fernando Clavijo, Tab Ramos, Tony Meola and Eric Wynalda. Also playing are former Kansas City players Diego Gutierrez and Preki, as well as Roy Lassister and Tony Sanneh.
