It's been an interesting year for soccer in Kansas City, and, since I'm a writer, and the timing is right, I feel the innate pull of arranging all of my memories of the year into a Top 10 list. At this time of year, every writer with any platform feels this pull. It's like gravity.
I'm working on whittling down a transitional list of 17 events that shaped soccer in Kansas City this year — the name change, breaking ground on the new stadium, the Birahim Diop Game, five KC girls winning the NCAA women's soccer cup, the U.S.-Algeria game, etc., etc.
But, given my natural democratic inclinations, I'd love to hear what you, the readers, will remember most from 2010. You can post your thoughts in the comments ordrop me an email .
