As I do most nights, I was strolling throughDu Nord's nightly news recap
. It was the typical excellence you'd expect and I was getting ready to click on to the next blog when I noticed this item:
"The Toronto Sun reports that Teal Bunbury has turned down an offer to play for the Canadian national team, in hopes that he can play for the USA." You can read the Sun storyhere
This isn't breaking news, by any means. When international call-ups came out this week, Bunbury wasn't on the list. And Wwe've speculated for a few months that Canada wanted to get Bunbury to commit before he chose to declare for the United States. (Teal was born in Canada, but has American citizenship.)
The question I want to ask tonight: Will Teal Bunbury ever rate for the United States? Striker isn't exactly a loaded position and Bunbury has a higher upside than Edson Buddle and Herculez Gomez going forward. What do you think?
