The Major League Soccer Players Union released the salaries for its members as of August 12.
It should be no surprise, the highest paid players in the league are Los Angeles' David Beckham (will earn $6.5 million in guaranteed compensation) and Landon Donovan ($2.1 million), New York's three designated players Thierry Henry ($5.6 million), Rafa Marquez ($5.54 million) and Juan Pablo Angel ($1.918 million), and the Chicago duo of Nery Castillo ($1.79 million) and Freddie Ljungberg ($1,314 million).
Kansas City's highest paid player is Jimmy Conrad, who will make $244,000 in guaranteed compensation. Omar Bravo's salary and compensation won't be included on the list until next year.
