What the Wizards get paid

The Major League Soccer Players Union released the salaries for its members as of August 12. It should be no surprise, the highest paid players in the league are Los Angeles' David Beckham (will earn $6.5 million in guaranteed compensation), New York's two newest designated players Thierry Henry ($5.6 million) and Rafa Marquez ($5.54 million), and the Chicago duo of Nery Castillo ($1.79 million) and Freddie Ljungberg ($1,314 million). Kansas City's highest paid player is Jimmy Conrad, who will make $244,000 in guaranteed compensation. Omar Bravo's salary and compensation won't be included on the list until next year.
