Here were his instructions to open the thread: "Full disclosure - we are trying, not going to reach, and in a perfect world get a 3-year player, minimum.....might not be possible."
There are a few notable players that should be America-bound this summer: Thierry Henry and Robert Pires are both going to be out of contract andrumors have swirled around Alessandro Del Piero
I think Henry would be a perfect fit for this team. But it's more than likely that he's New York-bound if anything.
The Wizards biggest hole right now would be a goal scorer/right wingers. Here are my three choices after Henry:
- • 1. Omar Bravo, F, 30 (Guadalajara). He's a goal scoring machine and would have the Claudio Lopez-benefit of bringing in curious Hispanic fans.
- • 2. Jesper Gronkjaer, M/F, 32 (Copenhagen). We've got one Dane on the roster already, why not bring in a technical and versatile player that can play the wing or up top?
- • 3. Clarence Seedorf, M/F, 34 (AC Milan). He's still got pace, is excellent on the carpet and is a proven goal scorer in just about every league he's played in.
