Sporting Kansas City picked up its first victory of the season Saturday, a 1-0 result against New York City FC inside Yankee Stadium.

Yes, Yankee Stadium.

The home of the 27-time World Series champions is serving as home for New York City FC's inaugural season.

That wasn't lost on Matt Besler, Seth Sinovic and Benny Feilhaber, who, after the match, re-enacted arguably the Royals' most famous incident at the old Yankee Stadium.

The Pine Tar Game.

In 1983, George Brett hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning to put the Royals ahead 5-4, only to have it wiped away after the umpires ruled he had too much pine tar on his bat.

Let's just say Brett disagreed with the call.
