It seems Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber is finally back in the national team picture.
Recently hired United States men’s national team coach Bruce Arena said during a live Facebook chat Friday that he plans to call Feilhaber into a scheduled camp in January. After a Facebook commenter asked Arena about the prospective pool of players for the camp, Arena replied that the roster would likely be announced soon before providing a peek into his plans.
“A couple of players that haven’t been around for a bit will be back in camp. An example would be Benny Feilhaber,” he said.
Feilhaber, 31, has made 41 appearances for the United States but none under previous boss Jürgen Klinsmann since 2014. Klinsmann was fired last month.
