Here are some details about the contract new quarterback Nick Foles signed with the Chiefs last week.

▪ Foles agreed to a one-year deal with a team option for 2017. The contract includes a base salary of $1.25 million for this year. There was no signing bonus, but Foles will be due a roster bonus of $200,000 if he makes the 53-man roster for the season opener. He can also earn a bonus of $18,750 for every game he makes the active roster, for a total of $300,000 over the course of the season. He can also earn an additional $2 million in not-likely-to-be-earned incentives for things like touchdowns, passing yards, completion percentages, etc.

▪ Foles will have a base salary of $10.4 million in 2017, provided the team picks it up. He can also earn a bonus of $15,625 for every game he makes the active roster, for a total of $250,000 over the course of the season. He can also earn a workout bonus of $100,000 and earn an additional $2 million in not-likely-to-be-earned incentives for things like touchdowns, passing yards, completion percentages, etc.
