It’s been four years since Chiefs running backs coach Eric Bieniemy served as Colorado’s offensive coordinator, but he has not been forgotten.

Colorado cornerback Ken Crawley, who played for Bieniemy in 2012, said he was hoping to see him again at the NFL Combine this week.

“I’ve still looking for Eric Bieniemy,” Crawley said with a laugh.

Crawley, who is listed at 6 feet 1 and 180 pounds, said the No. 1 thing he remembers about Bieniemy is his booming voice, a trait many players have referenced over the years.

“He was yelling at the running backs, but it was like he was yelling at you,” Crawley said. “I like his coaching style.”

Crawley said Bieniemy could also be tough when needed; he remembers Bieniemy disciplining the freshman class early in his career at Colorado.

“I respected him — you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, you’ve got to discipline those guys,” said Crawley, who said Bieniemy made them run. “We were freshmen, we had to learn some way.”
