The Chiefs, 8-6, will clinch an AFC wild-card playoff berth if they beat Pittsburgh, 9-5, on Sunday and San Diego, 8-6, in the regular-season finale. They can still make it by splitting the final two games if they get a lot of help in other games.
But the Chiefs could be eliminated from playoff contention as early as next week if they lose to Pittsburgh and Baltimore, 9-5, wins at Houston and Cincinnati, 9-4-1, beats Denver at home on Monday night.
