Running back Knile Davis is listed among the Chiefs inactives. Davis isn’t injured. This is healthy scratch for the player who until recently was the Chiefs’ primary reserve to Jamaal Charles.

But Charcandrick West has moved into the starting role after Charles suffered a season-ending injury against the Bears in the fifth game. Davis had backed up West over the past three games, but against the Broncos on Sunday that duty will fall to Spencer Ware.

Ware was activated from the practice squad for the Chiefs’ victory over the Lions in London on Nov. 1 and scored his first NFL touchdown.

Davis also was the Chiefs’ primary kick returner. Saalim Hakim was actived earlier this week and worked with special teams.

Other Chiefs inactives: quarterback Aaron Murray, defensive lineman Allen Bailey, offensive guard Ben Grubbs, tight end James O’Shaughnessy, cornerback Marcus Cooper and linebacker Ramik Wilson.

For the Broncos, wide receiver Emmanual Sanders is listed as active. There was speculation he wouldn’t be ready after suffering an injury in last week’s loss to the Colts.

The Broncos inactives: wide receiver Jordan Norwood, quarterback Trevor Siemian, offensive lineman Shelley Smith, tight end Richard Gordon, linebacker DeMarcus Ware, defensive lineman Darius Kilgo. Also, cornerback Aqib Talib is serving a one-game suspension.
