Chiefs inactives: Donnie Avery will sit vs. Raiders

The Chiefs will be without receiver Donnie Avery against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Avery (groin) is among the Chiefs' seven inactive players, along with cornerback Phillip Gaines (concussion), defensive end Allen Bailey (concussion), tight end Richard Gordon, center Eric Kush, quarterback Aaron Murray and guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.

Rookie Albert Wilson will start his second straight game in Avery’s place, while defensive end Vance Walker will start his second straight game in Bailey’s place. Jamelll Fleming, who has missed the Chiefs’ last six games with a hamstring injury, will start Gaines’ place.

For the Raiders, linebacker Sio Moore, offensive tackle Menelik Watson, quarterback Matt McGloin, receiver Denarius Moore, guard Tony Bergstrom, tight end Bran Leonhardt and defensive tackle Stacy McGee are inactive.
