Two lingering thoughts from the Chiefs’ loss at Arizona

I posted some thoughts on the Chiefs’ loss at Arizona to my Twitter page Tuesday night. Here’s a recap of what I saw while re-watching the game:

▪ On third and nine in the fourth quarter, Cards have zero concerns about getting beat up top. Press-man coverage plus stunts equals a sack of Alex Smith.

I mean, it’s just open season. Just send whatever twists, stunts and delayed blitzes you want, always account for Jamaal Charles and make the others beat you:

 

▪ I also think it’s time to start giving Dontari Poe more rest and Ron Parker needs to do this more (see below regarding tackling).

Poe played better this week than he did in last two games. In this .gif below, he just looks like a tired guy to me, because he did have some moments vs. Cardinals.
