Is there anybody who didn’t see the Chiefs’ last-minute meltdown in the 31-24 loss to Denver on Thursday night?

Few, according to Nielsen.

The game on CBS and NFL Network drew a national 14.3 rating in the 56 metered markets, a record for a Thursday night game.

The Thursday games debuted on NFL Network in 2006 with a Chiefs’ victory over the Broncos. CBS became a broadcast partner last year.

In local viewing, Kansas City was the nation’s top market with a 44.4 rating. Denver was second at 41.6.
