The Chiefs issued another uniform red alert.

A proven winner a year ago, the Chiefs broke out the all-red look for Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.

When Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos and punter Dustin Colquitt took the field for warmups about 80 minutes before the game, they were wearing red jerseys with red pants instead of the customary home white pants.

The Chiefs wore all-red for the third time in team history.

They wore that combination last season when the New England Patriots visited on Monday Night Football, and the Chiefs won 41-14.

Other occasion was the 2013 home opener against the Dallas Cowboys, and the Chiefs prevailed 17-16.
