A year ago, Chiefs coach Andy Reid elected to sit his starters for their final preseason game.

“If they get any (playing time), it probably won’t be much,” Reid said.
Reid was then asked how much will play backups Chase Daniel and Aaron Murray.

“It depends,” Reid said. “If (Alex) doesn’t (play), then I’ll just go a half with each.”
Daniel was very efficient in the Chiefs’ first two preseason games this year but he didn’t play in the third game against Tennessee.
Reid said after the game that he just wanted to get a closer look at Murray, who finished 15 of 20 for 146 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
