Chiefs’ needs left unfilled during the NFL Draft

•

Defensive line:

Tyson Jackson, Mike DeVito and Dontari Poe are set as the starters. As backups, the Chiefs have a collection of journeymen (Daniel Muir, Marcus Dixon) and inexperienced players (Allen Bailey, Anthony Toribio, Jerrell Powe).

•

Wide receiver:

The Chiefs have enough bodies. But other than Dwayne Bowe and, to a lesser extent, Donnie Avery, they have no proven commodity. Jon Baldwin, Dexter McCluster and Devin Wylie have underachieved.

•

Safety:

Fifth-round pick Sanders Commings eases the burden, but there’s little depth behind the starters, Eric Berry and Kendrick Lewis.
