If you are heading to Arrowhead Stadium for Friday night’s preseason game between the Chiefs and Seahawks, you might want to leave home a bit early.

The game starts at 7 p.m., but the Missouri Department of Transportation is reminding fans of a continuing road project on the Stadium Road Bridges over I-435 and I-70. That could affect getting to Gates 6 and 7 at the Truman Sports Complex, the department said.

In a news release, MoDot wrote, “Construction has restricted lanes on Stadium Road Bridges to one lane each direction and football fans should plan accordingly. Both bridges are located at Gates 6 and 7 (Bus/RV Exit) near Arrowhead. Fans traveling to these gates should leave early to avoid potential delays. KC Scout message boards will also direct fans to use Blue Ride Cutoff for gates 2 and 3 for a faster commute.”
