Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley warmed up but didn’t appear in last week’s preseason opener while coming off a knee injury. Conley, a third-round draft selection from Georgia, is expected to play on Friday against the Seattle Seahawks at Arrowhead Stadium.
“It will be good to see Chris,” wide receivers coach David Culley said Tuesday. “He’s had a good week of practice. He hasn’t had any setbacks with the injury. He was able to finish off practice today without soreness, which is a good sign. So we’re looking forward to him getting some pretty good playing time.”
Conditioning may be an issue for Conley.
“The big thing is stamina,” Culley said. “He hasn’t been able to get the reps and get his stamina up. But he’s a very intelligent kid. He’s been getting a bunch of mental reps. He’s been really into it in practice. Now, he needs to take advantage of these next two, three exhibition games.”
