Former Chiefs tight end Sean McGrath landed on his feet.
McGrath, who retired from football a year ago and announced his return in April, has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, according to the NFL's transaction report.
McGrath, 27, retired at the start of training camp last season citing a loss of passion for the game, but was reinstated from the reserve/did not report list on April 15 after he told the Chiefs he wanted to return. He was subsequently released.
McGrath, who was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks before the 2013 season, caught 26 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs as a backup that year.
