The second week of the Chiefs’ organized team activities kicked off Tuesday with inside linebacker Derrick Johnson sitting out because of knee inflammation and nose tackle Dontari Poe leaving practice because of a back injury.
Johnson observed practice on the sideline, while Poe began practicing before walking off with two members of the training staff.
Johnson, of course, missed 15 games last season after suffering a right Achilles injury. Poe has been an ironman of sorts for the Chiefs, logging an unusual number of snaps for a lineman: 1,004 in 2013 and 966 in 2014.
Fisher back on the first team
After spending Thursday’s practice with the second team at left tackle, Eric Fisher went back to the first-team duty while Donald Stephenson — his replacement Thursday — slid back to right tackle.
