Nothing helps a Q score quite like becoming an NFL first-round draft pick, especially if you’re a quarterback.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes increased his number of Twitter followers by 39 percent in the few weeks after the draft, according to a study by Fanatics, a licensed sports merchandising company. He ranked ninth in post-draft Twitter followers among rookies today has nearly 78,000 followers.

The Twitter followers were measured between April 9 and May 8. The NFL Draft was April 27-29.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson’s post-draft total of nearly 614,000 Twitter followers tops the rookie list. The biggest percentage increases of followers belonged to the Steelers’ T.J. Watt (80.6 percent) and the Cowboys’ Taco Charlton (79.7 percent).
