Former Mizzou star Michael Sam set Twitter ablaze with his sack of Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel during Saturday night’s preseason game.

Sam, the NFL’s first openly gay player who is fighting to make the Rams’ roster, rushed past a St. Louis lineman and sacked Manziel in the fourth quarter.

After the sack, Sam had a little fun at Johnny Football’s expense by doing Manziel’s “money sign:”

Sam, who finished with two sacks of Manziel, told reporters: "If you're going to sack Johnny, you've got to do that once."

Sam has experience sacking Manziel. When Missouri beat Texas A&M 28-21 last year, Sam was in on a sack of Manziel.

ESPN’s tweet will take you to a video of the play:

St. Louis won 33-14.
