If you can’t wait to break away from the in-laws on Christmas and get to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ game with the Denver Broncos, know this:
The parking lots don’t open until 3 p.m.
The Chiefs announced Friday that’s when the tailgating fun will begin ahead of their prime-time game against division rival Denver. The gates to the stadium for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff will open at 6 p.m., unless you have tickets for the “Scout Investments Club Level.” Then you can get into Arrowhead Stadium at 5 p.m.
The Chiefs said that they will continue their “national prime time game tradition,” which involves having fans at Arrowhead Stadium sing the national anthem. Saxophonist Houston Smith will perform the anthem.
