Jeremy Maclin is going to help a lucky Chiefs fan have the ultimate gameday experience.

On Oct. 31, Maclin will select one fan who donates $25 or more to his J-Mac Gives Back Foundation to attend the Chiefs’ home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 6. The fan and a guest will receive two autographed footballs by Maclin, two premium seats and round-trip car service.

“It’s a way for me to kind of give back to the fans and give them an opportunity to experience a game,” Maclin said.

The sweepstakes started Oct. 3 and will continue through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 30. Proceeds will benefit Maclin’s foundation, which strives to provide charitable and educational assistants to kids in alternative living situations.

Maclin said endeavors like this are very personal for him.

“It’s a way for them to do something good as well by giving to my foundation, which helps kids in alternative situations, whether it’s kids that live with their grandparents, single mothers, foster children, adopted children ... 99 percent of it is low-income children, and that’s what I’m all about, man,” Maclin said. “That’s where I come from, those are my roots.

“I grew up with a single mother. Money was scarce. So any way I can help kids who are growing up in that same situation ... and be that inspiration I need sometimes, that’s what I want to do.”

Maclin is one of 32 pro football players participating in the promotion. Fans can enter by downloading the Cheerful Giving app or visiting cheerfulgiving.com/champion/jeremymaclin.
