Cornerback Phillip Gaines (knee) and outside linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) each returned to Chiefs practice in a limited fashion Thursday after sitting out the previous day.
Tackle Mitchell Schwartz (ankle), cornerback Kenneth Acker (shoulder) and offensive lineman Jordan Devey (ankle) were listed on the Chiefs’ injury report for Thursday, but all three were full participants for the second straight day.
A number of starters missed practice for the second straight day, including cornerback Delvin Breaux (fibula), defensive end Paul Kruger (back), cornerback Sterling Moore (abdomen), defensive lineman Nick Fairley (not injury related) and guard/tackle Andrus Peat (groin).

Left tackle Terron Armstead (knee) was a limited participant for the second straight day and could make an attempt to play Sunday. Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quad) was limited Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.
