The other day I had a dental appointment and went to see my dentist, Jay Hodge.
I walked in for my six-month teeth cleaning and Jay’s dental assistants wanted to know about my new look. For those of you who missed it, I went to get my hair cut with Eric Hosmer and now sport ‘The Hos’ hairdo.
I was regaling the ladies with my story — they seemed more interested in Hos than me, don’t know why — when the guy in the next chair overheard the laughter and offered up an interesting bit of information:
He owned a cat with a Hos hairdo.
Now that I had to see and if you’re reading this, I guess you wanted to see it too. Very nice guy and after he showed me his Hos-cat pictures I asked him to send them to me so I could share them with you.
I told him maybe we shouldn’t use his name because I didn’t know what they had to do to the cat to get it to sit still for the haircut and I didn’t want the SPCA breathing down his neck, but he assured me the cat was cool with it.
Apparently the cat needs to be shaved once in a while (I don’t own cats, so I accepted that story) and since he and his wife are big Royals fans and more specifically, Eric Hosmer fans, they decided to go with the Hos hairdo.
Here’s what the cat’s owner had to say in an email:
It was a pleasure meeting you at the dentist (of all places). Attached is our cat Mr. Butz, with the “hos cut.” Mr. Butz’s hair grows so fast and long we have to give him a short hair cut each year to help him groom himself. The “hos cut” fits his personality. We are huge Royals fans and Hosmer fans, my wife Wendy and daughter Abby.
His official name is Pudder Sudz Butz. We call him Pudder, Mr. Butz, and Little Man.
Too many photos for sure but enjoy.
So by now Dave, Wendy and Abby’s neighbors know their cat is famous, but the SPCA doesn’t know where to find them, so that seems like a pretty good compromise. I don’t know how Eric will feel about being compared to a cat called Pudder Sudz Butz, but I do know one thing for sure.
That cat needs to start using product in his hair.
