Yep, Rex Hudler donned a Rally Mantis mask during Tuesday’s rain delay

Rain delays do funny things to people.

Some leave the ballpark early. Some decide to seek shelter and wait it out — sometimes for hours. Some put on a praying mantis mask during a broadcast.

Yeah, that happened Tuesday night during the Royals-Yankees game, and I’ll give you one guess as to which Fox Sports Kansas City announcer did it.

Give yourself a pat on the back if you guessed analyst Rex Hudler. The Royals shared this on Twitter of Hudler and Ryan Lefebvre during the delay:

Hudler is known for his quaint observations (think about that comment about a beautiful planet), so this should come as no surprise. Still, fans loved it:
