What do you do if your biggest rival loses in spectacular fashion?

Naturally, you throw shade.

Mexico was humiliated 7-0 by Chile in the Copa America quarterfinals on Saturday night, and the United States Soccer Federation didn’t wait long to rub Mexico’s nose in it.

If you think that’s merely a bit of chest-thumping, well, you’re in the minority. Most saw it as the U.S. having fun at the expense of its biggest rival since the Americans have advanced farther in the tournament.
