Texas A&M football assistant apologizes for Twitter rant that led to recruit dropping Aggies

Texas A&M receivers coach Aaron Moorehead is the latest to learn this lesson the hard way:

Don’t vent on social media.

On Wednesday, Tate Martell, a four-star quarterback from Las Vegas, shared on Twitter that he was decommitting from Texas A&M.

While careful not to mention Martell by name (for that would be an NCAA violation), Moorehead ranted on Twitter

Unfortunately for Moorehead, his tweets were seen by the wrong people: recruits.

Mannie Netherly is a four-star receiver from Texas, so that hurts. Receiver Tyjon Lindsey, a four-star player from California, tweeted that he was no longer considering Texas A&M, but has since deleted that tweet.

On Thursday, Moorehead apologized:
