The Chiefs did Baltimore a big favor by knocking off the Chargers in Sunday’s season finale at Arrowhead Stadium.
The 19-7 victory kept San Diego out of the playoffs and opened the door for the Ravens.
Baltimore coach John Harbaugh was so grateful to the Chiefs that he promised KC coach Andy Reid that he would buy dinner.
The two coached together in Philadelphia and obviously still keep in touch.

Take a listen to Harbaugh, who was asked about whether he had talked with Reid:
Harbaugh later praised the Chiefs for their victory (from the Ravens’ website):
“It speaks to the character of that team and speaks to Andy Reid and the kind of coach he is, his staff with Bob Sutton, Dave Toub, Brad Childress, all those guys on that staff that we know. Just a phenomenal job. … It’s a great victory for the Chiefs, and we’re happy they got it.”
Here’s guessing the Chiefs would have liked the Ravens (and Texans) to have lost Sunday.
